For the cover of the brochure I was thinking something like this. The footprints being "carbon foot prints" and then have photos of kits enjoying nature or something. I am still playing around with ideas so if you guys have some ideas that would be suuuper :) I have a brochure doodled up too that I have to scan and upload.

Hey Guys,
I was trying to design the front cover over the brochure and I think that I may have a great logo too. Let me know what you think. Also I am having trouble loading pics as files they just load as photos. I just updated this because I made changes. This is in photoshop so the background wont be there.

Here is the basic concept for the brochure. The important word here is 'basic'. The only access to quarkxpress is on campus. The loose plan is to create copy and basic graphics idea and then meet in the lab to put the actual brochure.
I love the stamp idea, it would give us a great flair that no one else would think of. Also, the fact sheets look good :))) --- Katy
Okay! Stamps-- On zazzle.com you can design real USPS stamps. A sheet of 20 is $19.95. However, if we get them in bulk they are cheaper. We probably won't be able to get them distributed by the USPS only because I read something about how they have lots of submissions and blah blah blah. SO- this method would be good for the university to use on outgoing mail. I am going to stop by the post office to find out if branches can opt to carry stamps. If this is the case we can go around to the different post offices and ask them to carry them. If that is the case then we would probably have to make some flyers or something to post around so when people come in they know about them.

Sam! Those stamps are suuuper cute! I definitely like the idea of creating special edition stamps. I will look further into what the process is.
Maybe we can have a contest in the art department for a 4 stamp collection concept. It would yield impressive designs, be a portfolio builder for a student, and it would be a good way to pull more of the campus in. Perhaps the university would agree to primarily use those stamps or at least put them in the rotation.

Bloomsburg University Renewable Energy Education Project
Fact Sheet Copy:
• Solar energy can power anything from a small radio to a whole neighborhood!
• According to the Union of Concerned Scientists, fossil fuels account for 85% of US fuel use, this comes at a high price.
• According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, wind energy costs about the same as electricity from new coal-and gas-fired power plants. And its pollution free!
•Bloomsburg University Renewable Energy Education Project is a non-profit organization which strives to educate students about the importance of renewable energy in our world’s future.
• Topics covered include: Photovoltaic, wind, hydro-power, biomass/bio-energy, geothermic
• K-12 school-aged students
• Presentations/Lesson Plans (for in classroom)
o Video and text
o Created by education and science majors with the assistance of BU professors.
Fact Sheet Design Ideas:
• Color Scheme- blue/green, incorporate BU's colors somewhere? (or should we just include logo?)
• Include BU logo
Create an illustration of windmill, earth, sun?
We need to create a logo for this specific project
Typography important (font type, size, color, etc.)
Hillary--These are the stamps that I designed in Illustrator. We like this concept?
This is an ad that I created to go with the stamps--we don't need to use these exact
things, but we can use the idea and re-create them. I wish I still had the files!
